healthy eating...addicted.

I'm addicted. I'm obsessed. Healthy eating.

I am throughly enjoying eating healthy/clean.

This weekend was Labor day weekend, so that meant get togethers with friends and family...and that meant food choice was going to be limited and it was going to be HARD to make healthy choices! But I was determined...I wasn't going to ruin all my hard work in one weekend.

Saturday's Meal: Big'z Burger Joint
Um, yes...a Burger Joint...red meat and all. Fries, potato chips and onion rings...where are the side salads people? Sheesh. But there it was...my saving grace...a grilled chicken sandwich. YES!
A grilled chicken sandwich on a wheat bun and a slice of pepper jack cheese. So me and my handsome hubby split that and a basket of homemade potato chips (oops! mistake!)...we left more the half the basket because...well...it just didn't seem right to keep stuffing our faces with them! ha :)

Sunday's Meal: Popeye's Chicken
WOW...fried chicken...fast food...FAT...yeah...
Pulled out my handy dandy cell phone and pulled up MyFitnessPal...frantically looking for the item with the least amount of calories. I guess 3 chicken tenders, corn on the cob and a nice greasy buttery biscuit was for lunch. But wait? What was the menu off to the side? Get up and Geux? Naked Chicken? YES! Naked Chicken Tenders, green beans and a piece of bruschetta bread instead of 260 calorie biscuit. It's always possible to eat healthy...even somewhere that is famous for their fried chicken.

Monday's Meal: Panera Bread
Mmmmmmm...I have been wanting to eat here for a long time but never had the chance. Well...I got my chance and I took it. Definitely will be eating here a lot more. I had their "PICK 2" meal...a small bowl of potato soup, classic green salad and a fuji apple :) oh so healthy and oh so good. I recommend this place any day...just stay away from the pastries!

Wish I would have taken pictures of my meals but...i didn't, lol :)

I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day Weekend <3
EAT HEALTHY. WORKOUT. GET FIT.

DISCIPLINE!

woke up this morning saying "i'm only going to do 15 minutes"
...glad i did over an hour! DISCIPLINE! yeah! :)

Getting/Being fit can and should be fun!

I love my heart rate monitor. I like being able to constantly check my heart rate and calories that i've burned. It keeps me going. When I see that I've burned 100 calories I get excited and realize that it wasn't so hard to reach that 100...so I go to 200...then 300...and on and on.

I'm also really enjoying trying new foods and making new recipes.
Last nights dinner was...

- 1 pita pocket
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1 tbs mozzarella cheese
- half a fuji apple
- 3 slices (60 calories) turkey breast

IT WAS SUPER YUM! I highly recommend it.
It was filling and under 300 calories :)

So Tips? Buy a heart rate monitor and try new foods.
You never know how you'll surprise yourself!

the only workout I regret is the one I don't do.

7 days. One full week of workouts.
WOW, I am even impressed with myself.

It is incredible the way my body feels and even the way it looks has already begun to drastically change. I lost only 1 pound this week but that 1 pound was worth all of the hard work. The pride I feel after a week like this one is one I have never felt before.
In a previous blog I talked about BECOMING what inspires you.

I feel that I am finally becoming what inspires me, I am becoming someone I never thought I could be.
STRONG. CONFIDENT. HAPPY. ENERGETIC. HEALTHY.
and the list goes on...

Here are to many more weeks of success!

repeat after me: "i can do this"

I feel good....naNAnaNAnaNAna :)

9 hour workday...1 hour workout...GOOD day!
I am so excited that I finally feel good after my workouts...I still feel sore and i'm sweaty...my legs hurt and I get cramps...but I feel happy and always finish with a smile! Its truly amazing :)
I am also extremely  happy with how my diet is going so far...i've managed to stay for the most part full and haven't been stuffing my face because of boredom. Staying under my calorie goal is a huge  accomplishment for me!

Saw this picture today and it totally BLEW MY MIND.
think about it...

how much do you want to lose? you're carrying around that object on your body.
I want to lose 30. amount of cheese an avg american eats a year.
cheese...ew.

WORK OUT. EAT RIGHT. GET HAPPY.

she believed she could so she did.

1.00 mile.

I did it, I ran my first mile.
It took me about nine minutes, but I did it.
ONE STEP...closer to running a 5k (my first goal).

I love the feeling I get after a great workout. So many times I have convinced myself that I don't have time. But today, I worked out for over an hour and I felt like I had more time to get things done than on days when I don't workout. I'm starting to believe that running/working out gets you going. You can't go back to being lazy after a fabulous workout...you've got too much energy.

Looking forward to tomorrows workout...can't wait to see where this journey takes me.

Chick fil a for lunch. A little orange leaf with my niece and nephew. Soup. Frozen Grapes.
That was pretty much the menu for today.
&& I'm feeling goooooood

become what inspires you.

I think I finally found it. That high everyone talks about. The endorphin rush you get after a workout. Incredible.

Today, was an awesome day.

Woke up...went to church (awesome service BTW), lunch with some of my favorite people i ate just a little too much.  As we left the restaurant, I looked over at steven (thats my hubby ;D) and said...wanna take the dog on a walk when we get home? That will be a nice little workout.

Little did I know this could possibly be life changing. This could possibly be it...the day I really find it...the day I truly see that I have it in me.

When we got home, I went straight for my workout clothes. Put the dog on her leash and I was out the door. I just keep walking...faster,faster,faster...until I couldn't believe I was doing it. I was working out and even though I knew it would be east to stop...i didn't. I kept going and going and going.

When I finally got home I was so incredibly proud of myself...I didn't feel horrible...I felt...AWESOME! I have never felt like that after a workout... I just wanted to keep going! I'm already looking forward to waking up tomorrow and finding out how much further I can push myself.

LETS DO THIS...its all or nothin this time...
I will do this...for me...this is for me...

and i will show all the doubters, just how wrong they are about me.

You've got what it takes.

Its saturday. The day you spend with family and friends.
The day where is seems even harder to say no, to say no to FOOD.

So this morning I woke up and made myself workout...I didn't have time for my preferred one hour "power walk" workout but I made time for a quick 15 minute workout from bodyrock.tv

WOOOOOOO...i was seriously challenged and will be doing more of their workouts! Quick...but challenging...totally worth checking out :)

I did the "WE ARE YOUNG" workout along with one of their 2 min ab workouts

The day is over and I managed to pretty much stick to my diet.
Went to LAS PALAPAS for lunch with my hubby and family and (so thankful for their help) we all managed to stick to ONE TACO for lunch and of course we had to have chips and salsa.  Then we went to the movies...unbelievable...managed to sit thro a 3 hour movie without stuffing my face with buttery popcorn, candy and an ICEE.

WOAH...saving inches and $$$
I think this weight loss journey is PERFECT
I lose weight and save money to buy more clothes for my new and improved body :)
LET GO!

Happy Saturday Everyone
